Share Your Dog's "Fave" Recipes

Keep your dog treat recipes in a safe place!

We're sure that all spoiled dogs have a special dinner or treat recipe that some kindly master prepares for them to enjoy. And we also know that dogs are sociable beings and like to share.

With that in mind, we invite you to submit your best friend's favorite recipes. Healthy ingredients please, because we do want Fido to stay fit!

When sufficient recipes have been received, a dedicated page will be started to share them on a rotational basis for all doggies to try out and give us some feedback. Either paws up or paws down.

Please enter your recipe below. Include your dog's name if you would like him/her given credit alongside the recipe.

We appreciate your participation.

Just to start the ball rolling, here's one to try:

Crunchy Meat Treats

  • 1/2 cup non-fat powdered milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups rice flour
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 5 tsp. chicken or beef broth
  • 1 jar baby food meat (any flavor**)
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine all ingredients well. Roll out dough to desired thickness. Cut into interesting doggie shapes. Bake for 20-30 minutes -will depend on thickness, so watch carefully. Cool completely. The biscuits should turn out hard, crunchy and have one eager dog standing by to enjoy.

** Onion, like other acidic foods, are hard on a dog's digestive system, so it's best if the baby food you choose does not contain onion powder.

    ROVER'S RATING: You tell us!

One Note: Remember, you know your dog's dietary profile better than anyone, so please always use your good judgment to decide if a recipe is suitable for your pet.
