Dog-Friendly Floors In My Home

I spoil my aging little Yorkie, Joey, in so many ways.

Mainly, since he has gotten old and has some trouble walking, I put down mats all over the floor so he won’t slip and fall.

He has trouble getting back up again if he slips on laminate floor or linoleum, which is why I bought the extra mats. I even put a diaper pad on my bedroom floor in case he has an accident in there.

These days Joey tires easily and needs to rest more often. So that Joey will always have a place to take a nap in the daytime, I have placed his dog beds in favorite locations. One of them is in the kitchen and the other is by the recliner in the living room,

Also, to make it easy for him to enjoy his favorite Greenies, these are also close by his beds in the kitchen and living room areas so he doesn't have to go searching for them. Greenie chew toys help him happily pass the time.
